Apr. 3—Crestwood’s girls’ lacrosse team climbed to 2-0 on the season with Thursday’s 17-1 victory over Lakeland.
Isabella Caporuscio was the scoring leader with five goals for the Lady Comets. Kelsey Kulak, Jill Taleroski and Sophia Novrocki each scored twice, and teammates Helena Jardine, Julia Johnson, Olivia Aigeldinger, Hillary Blazick, Brooke Lapinski and Ella Panzick added solo goals.
Caporuscio, Julia Glowacki and Taleroski all dished out two assists, and Comets’ goalkeeper Avery Bogdon made four saves.
Toni Pisano had the lone goal for Lakeland.
H.S. Boys’ Lacrosse Crestwood 15 Tunkhannock 2
The Crestwood boys also improved to 2-0 on the year with Friday’s easy victory over Tunkhannock.
Chandler O’Farrell scored seven times to lead the Comets’ offensive charge. Trey Zabroski, Noah Schultz and Nick Curry all scored two goals, and Chase Pugh and Brendan Dennis rounded out the Crestwood offense with solo goals.
Zabroski added four assists, Schultz had three helpers and O’Farrell dished out two assists.
Dean Fey was in goal for the Comets, making four saves.
Mike Sickler and Macauley Kania each scored for the Tigers, and goalkeeper Josh Falzone posted 15 saves.
